Following on from the success of last year, we are delighted to announce the next conference for Shared Narratives: supporting work by performing arts researchers of colour, that will take place online on 10 – 12 November 2021.
Shared Narratives is an opportunity for researchers of colour to support, network and showcase their varied areas of academic interests. Through interactive online events and presentations, join us in recognising the breadth and quality of performing arts research produced by academics of colour.
ABSTRACTS
If you would like to submit an abstract of 150-300 words for a 15-20 minute paper, performance or screening (or any other form of presentation) please email contact@sharednarratives.org by Friday 1 October 2021, 5.00 pm GMT.
When and where is the conference?
The conference will take place online on the afternoons of 10 – 12 November 2021.
What are our aims?
- Creating a platform for academic voices that are often hidden, particularly in conservatoire and university settings
- Providing opportunities for sharing research produced by researchers of colour at any career stage
- Developing a collaborative networking space for academics and practitioners of colour
Who can be involved?
We invite academics and practitioners of colour in the following disciplines:
- Music
- Dance
- Acting
- Musical Theatre
- Performance Art
- Filmmaking
- Theatre Production
