We are delighted to be jointly hosting an online conference, Shared Narratives: Supporting work by performing arts researchers of colour, in partnership with Trinity Laban and the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland on the 18 – 21 November 2020.
This is an opportunity for researchers of colour to support, network and showcase their varied areas of academic interests, recognising the breadth and quality of performing arts research produced by academics of colour.
This event will provide an opportunity for sharing research produced by researchers of colour and develop a collaborative networking space for academics and practitioners of colour.
WHO WILL I HEAR FROM?
Presentations, papers, performance and discussion groups will be delivered and facilitated by academics and practitioners of colour in disciplines including Music, Dance, Acting, Musical Theatre, Film Studies and Theatre Production.
WHEN WILL IT TAKE PLACE?
The event will take place online on the afternoons of Wednesday 18, Thursday 19, Friday 20 and Saturday 21 November and a provisional programme can be found here.
HOW CAN I REGISTER AND WHAT DOES IT COST TO ATTEND?
Tickets cost £10 per person for the entire conference and participants can register through Eventbrite.
We would like to make this conference as accessible as possible. Therefore, we are offering people the option to Pay It Forward by buying an additional ticket for those who would otherwise be restricted from attending the conference for financial reasons.
If you would like to request a ‘Pay It Forward’ ticket for yourself to attend the event please email sharednarratives@rcs.ac.uk detailing your interest in the conference.
